Before hospital discharge, your baby will be screened for many medical conditions, hearing loss and receive a Hepatitis B vaccination as recommended by the AAP. We recommend you book your appointment with us before leaving the hospital. We would like to see your baby 2-3 days after hospital discharge.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder defined by difficulty in social communication and social interaction, accompanied by restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests, or activities. Autism is often referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD, because it can cause a range of symptoms. These symptoms can vary in number, across time, and between individuals. Additionally, there are varying ranges in the severity of autism. Signs of ASD are usually evident in early childhood but can be diagnosed at any age. Early identification and treatment can change the course of ASD. A reliable diagnosis of ASD can be made in children as young as 18-24 months, however the majority of children with ASD are identified when school aged. We ask parents to fill out a standardized ASD screening questionnaire called the MCHAT (Modified Checklist for Autism in Toddlers) at the 18-month and 2-year-old Well Child Visits.

We understand how frustrating the recent shortage of ADHD medications is for parents. We are asking you to call your pharmacy to confirm availability of your child’s medication before we send in the prescription. If your regular pharmacy doesn’t have the medication in stock, try calling other pharmacies in your area. We are making every possible effort to send your ADHD prescription to a pharmacy as soon as you have confirmed the availability.
Reach out to us for help if your child is showing signs of excessive stress or anxiety from troubling current events:
Based on availability, we are able to offer the RSV shot, Beyfortus, only to our vulnerable newborns and high risk infants. If a pregnant mother receives the RSV vaccine at least 2 weeks before delivery, then the infant does not need the RSV shot.
At the moment, we have the Moderna 6 months–11 years of age COVID-19 vaccine in stock. The CDC and FDA have recommended that all children six months or older receive one bivalent COVID vaccine after completing or during their primary vaccine series. To find COVID-19 vaccine locations near you, search vaccines.gov.

If your child is due for a physical in the summer, it is recommended to book an appointment now. Please call your insurance company if you are unsure about the timing of the physical and the coverage of the visit. We complete any health forms, camp forms and college forms at those visits. We advise you to make yourself a copy of the forms for your records. Any special forms or college forms to be completed outside of the physical exam appointment, may take a week to complete the form.
We offer COVID-19 and Flu A&B testing in the office, as well as RSV and Strep testing. The CDC posts updates on the respiratory illness season every week.
We strive to honor all of our families' medical and personal needs as we move forward.
